Our Story

Built from lived experience, backed by research, shaped by women.

Mood Wear was born from a simple truth: women’s hormonal and stress experiences have been overlooked for decades.

Our founder,
Silvia Merchant, experienced firsthand how misunderstood these symptoms are. Combined with user research, academic partnerships and lived experience, Mood Wear was created to close the gap and give women clarity they’ve never been offered before.

Hormones also influence how efficiently your body uses glucose (sugar for energy). Research shows that insulin sensitivity is slightly lower in the second half of the cycle, meaning the body does not move sugar into cells as efficiently (Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism, 2014: https://academic.oup.com/jcem).
